Secret Garden Flowers!

I love the pink one! <3
These cute and awesome roses are very easy to make and wherever used give a vintage-ic feel. These flowers can be used on bags , hats, shawls , cardis , boots or in short EVERYWHERE! They can be made in sizes: small, medium or large ( ikr it sounds weird as if mi mentioning clothes !)
Anyways so what are you waiting for ? Get your supplies out and lets get started! ;)

Supplies:
1. Yarn ( I used my stash cotton yarn)
2. Hook ( I used a 2.5 mm hook)

Stitches used:
Not many the usual and basic ones only :D
Sc: single crochet
Sl St: slip stitch
Flo : front loops only
Blo : back loops only
Method:
Small:
1. Magic circle (6) or chain 2 and 6 sc in the second chain from hook.
Sl st to join
2. Working in the Flo, *  sl st in the first st , 5 sc in the next st.*  (1 petal formed)

Work single crochet in the front loop !

Repeat from * till you get 3 petals.
The petals should look something like this!
3. Sl st to the first chain and join.
When you turn the flower over , you will see the back loops.

See the back loops.

4. Now working in the Blo , 2 sc in each st. (12 sc)
The sc should form a layer like this.
5.Now again working in the Flo, * sl st in the first st, 5 sc in the next*  repeat from* till you get 6 petals.

6. Working in the back loops, 2 sc in each st. (24)

7. Now working in the Blo, * sl st in the first st and 5 sc in the next st.* repeat from* till you get 12 petals.

This will be your small flower.
If you want a medium size then make 1 more row (48 sc)
And if you want large flower make 2 more rows (48, 96)

P.S: Sorry about the pictures! :P
Hope you like the pattern and enjoy making it. And don't forget to send me the pic if you make it .
Where would you like to use this rose?

  6. I copy patterns only for my own enjoyment only. I didn't need the picture tutorial, but wanted the stitch pattern only to copy. Maybe you could follow your pictures with the stitch pattern for us that don't need the pictures. Thanks Wanda

  9. I like this pattern. Though I did mod it a bit, I used bulky yarn and a 6mm and did 8 back petals instead of 16 as the yarn takes up so much space the 16 makes it hard to look at.
